Im back, lovely babies ,great pictures Sally.
Enola, I havent had them real long step brought them from Mi. when she came for a visit and they did get. umm, corrid treatment ? thats it . the others are doing well. Papa, I wont eat this one. I have hung him back up and he is eating like he is starved. If I had the funds this is the one I would take to a vet for a cast.

Morning all! What a glorious start to a brand new year! Sun is shining, crispy 60 deg. Watched the Rose Parade this am. 
Boy do I have resolutions! Last year was a year plum full of disappointments, health problems, depression and hopelessness. NO MORE! I'm not going to wallow in that anymore! I miss having fun. I miss going places. Miss not feeling good about myself. Pity party is over! We can't be what we used to be but can be the very best we can right? If I gotta live, I might as well try my darndest to have fun doin it.
Look out...Mutts makin a comeback! Gonna loose 40 lbs and take better care of myself. Gonna clean 20 years of clutter outta dis house and work hard at remodeling to sell it and move.  Gonna re-connect with my friends that I've put on hold, I've been a terrible friend. Gonna take more time enjoying my own wonderful doggies. Gonna ride my ponies! I used to go for a new years day horseback ride every year but my horsey friends have all moved away.   That's ok, I have a trailer. Can't ride today, Leo horse would bounce me in 8 seconds! Haven't been on him in 3 years. I am gonna saddle him and start working him TODAY!  
I'm sure I'll have bad days, but I refuse to let them run together. Every day will be a fresh start this year. 
I hope the same for all of you!

Dd cooked ham turnip greens & black eyed peas. I cooked biscuits corn bread & red velvet cake. Thats our new years feast. Dd gd and me wanted to have 2 pigs. I even hit my hand twice with hammer getting dog kennel ready for them. We had all talked to dh about them. When we had everything ready and told dh we were going to go get them from dd s boyfriend dh said he didn t know anything about us getting pigs and hadn t talked to him about it. Said they smelled bad and ate to much. Said no way were we getting them. I worry about his memory. He won t go to dr except for his diabetes.

Hi Jane! If you haven't raised hogs...OMG! IMO they are the filtiest stinkiest most destructive animals on the planet! I had a couple Pot Bellies way back, they were friendly, but OMG the flies!!! The slop would breed flies for miles. I only have 1.25 ac. Flies all over the house, horses, dogs, chickens. If you read the posts about my neighbors hogs, he had to kill one a while back, it was mean as heck. They broke out of their pen often, he owes me a fence. They eat a LOT! That said, I also have a friend that has a HUGE pet hog! Friendly big beastie he is, hangs out with her dogs!

But I am lucky I got what I did with the fertility issue And my legbar and the white feather footed sweet marans is in there too... One of the legbar kept jumpin off so he aint in the pics, turd boy

Is there a way to tell the doctor when he goes in for his diabetes

Mutt there are some bad companies out there , you can go online and look some over but with his prior military service he goes to the front of the line and rightly so

I hope so...He's really enjoyed tinkering around here since last april, but come Mar, he has to find work. Kinda why I need to get back in the game, I'll need to run this place by myself again. He loves to drive, I know he'll enjoy it.

Hogs are not filthy animals! Not unless the owner doesn't keep their pen clean. They are destructive, there is no doubt about that! My son raised hogs for his FFA project. He had three sows that he raised babies from. He kept them on a concrete slab with raised houses. The houses were bedded with straw. The sows did not poop or pee in their houses. They picked one corner of their pen to use as a bathroom.

Each sow had her own pen and house. The houses were about one foot off of the ground with a ramp. One afternoon one of the sows got her nose under the ramp, ripped it off, stuck her nose under the edge of the house, gave it a shove and was lose! What a circus! She took her little piggies on a rampage! She would chase me every time I went outside to try to keep her from tearing up something.

I finally got in the car a drove to the bus stop to pick up the kids so they would walk home to the nightmare going on there. I told J what was going on at home, he said there was nothing to worry about. All he needed was a bucket of feed, some nails and a hammer.

He was right! One look at that feed bucket and that d@mn hog would have followed him straight into the fires of hell! Problem solved!
