I'm expecting good things from my lavender orpingtons. No set SOP since they aren't a "recognized" color. But they are very desirable.

I'm expecting good things from my lavender orpingtons.  No set SOP since they aren't a "recognized" color.  But they are very desirable. 

I've found some near me that came highly praised. Supposed to be as big as small turkeys. Last winter they were $35+ at auction for hens. I picked up a couple that were lighter shades for about $12 each.

I'm just having trouble deciding between the breeds. Will probably wind up with so ething lavender or blue.
