Last progress pics til Friday.

You can see the skeleton of the coop in the second pic. Nest boxes on the left, pop door on the back, and cleaning hatch on the right. Two big windows. Ventilation down the north and south walls. Windows east and west. I wanted a big window above the nests, too, but maybe we can cut that out later. Or I can just get over it.

That's a lot of work done for little time.. I'm so jelouse... I bought tools at a pin shop and just jimmied up a coop with no knowledge.. Found out a lot I did wrong!!! Lol

Same. That's why on the SECOND coop I'm changing everything that annoys me about the first one. The couple working is just amazing. They also can devote a full day to it: 8:30-4, with an hour for lunch. And they're so sweet, and don't mind me coming over and changing my mind.

Well that's pants advice from them isn't it!! You would have thought they would help you.

No more dogs (or at least house dogs anyway) for us when these two have passed. I'm not sure Lilly could swim this far anyway

The other half may get a cocker spaniel as a gun dog at a later date but it will be an outdoor working dog and not living in the house.

Over here, they have so many health problems, love to bite kids, are stupid. No hunting genes left. What about a Springer?

Are those your first this year?

No, I bought three dozen yard eggs from a lady that has chickens with multiple roosters to see if I can do my first hatch.

Is that a blue or white egg?
