beans had a couple hard ones. LOL collards were too hot to suit me. and I am the only one that eats them. It was eatable.

Hi Sally!


I almost set the house on fire the other night! Tried to put too long a piece of firewood in our wood stove. By the time I realized there was no way it would fit so I could shut the stove door, the pitch had oozed out and poof!, it burst into flames.

(Darn pine wood!) So here I am running across the room in my jammies holding a flaming log!

Tossed it out on the concrete just in time! Then had to leave the door open for an hour to get the smoke out! (Sort of defeats the purpose of having a fire in the first place.

) Luckily, everybody had gone to bed, so there were no witnesses to my stupidity. Although hubs saw the evidence the next morning, so busted!

and the smoke didnt set off the alarms? I dont want it to sound funny, cause it coulda gotten serious had you been burned or burnt the house down, but picturin you is hilarious!

I may have heard all the smokinn stories I can get, this may even beat granny smokin in bed burnin her hmmmm how did she phrase that? woods on fire, or brush on fire? dang cant remember!

the bator isn't anything special, just run of the mill Hovabator. Styrofoam.

I did put up a pic of one of the kids turning eggs yesterday evening.

temps are holding great, humidity is a tad high I think (little above 50%), so I have both top vent plugs out now.

I burned my hoo-hoo. Wasnt no forest fire cause that particular piece of property has already been strip mined. I did however get a blister. LOL
bator is steady 100/100 humidity at 27 % . I like what I used. Plastic tuperwear with lid cut a hole the size of a light switch and put a sponge sliver in . I wont need to fill that up til I change it at lock down..

50% is that dry? I am sorry, I thought you were going to make a cabinet.

hoo hoo, good grief granny! so what you set? if you set little bantam or serama eggs you need to up that humidity though.
