This year we're going to Idaho for a week or so. Backpacking around Yellowstone, and a cabin in the death place of Hemingway. It's going to be so amazing. :love

We've gone to Galveston the past four years (it's very cheap in April). Before that we only went to dinner or something. Our honeymoon was a cabin one town over from where we married. It cost $250 for two nights. So it's nice to do something big this year. :D

That's funny. My wife and I were married in Galveston. We got married at one of the historic homes on the island that had been turned to a bed-and-breakfast. It was pretty amazing, complete with the horse carriage ride at sunset

:love :love :love

I think we conceived our first three kids on that weekend.

:lau :lau

We haven't conceived any kids there, but I got my tattoo in Galveston. We've done the dolphin tour a few times. I went to the ocean star with my dad once. The first time we stayed at the San Luis for about $80 a night. The next year it was about $260, so we stayed elsewhere. The Harbor House is our favorite. We also like the Moody Gardens rainforest. We go to that one each time; it's just too expensive to see the others at the same time.

Flying. I think it's about 31 hours to drive. They're going to have to sedate me... I'm not a good passenger on airplanes.

In fact, the last time I flew I had such a bad panic attack that the flight attendant asked if I needed oxygen. Luckily the elderly Asian lady beside me slipped me an herbal "bead" to hold under my tongue. The she coached me through breathing like a regular person. And she put several more of those little beads in a tissue, for my flight home. Her son played in an orchestra. That was over 10 years ago, but I've never forgotten her.
Yep that would be a long drive! Even by my standards......

My mother never has enjoyed flying, When we went up for Ireland she was balling. Good thing that trip had free tiny beers, She would never had made it without. Thoes herbal beads are wonderful, Arn't they? Helped me with jet lag and helped me sleep when i got to the hotel. One of my friends gave me them, Never had them before. They popped in my mouth and I was like....

We went to the gardens also.

Back in the 90s, I used to play a lot of Beachball at Moody Gardens. They had a lot of semi-big money. Where are you and your partner could split up to $500. Not to mention all the free merchandise you got from tournament sponsors.

Bert, that had to of been one hellova honeymoon. LOL
I knew I married wrong . First one was grocery store and second one was old hat.

I'm sure most of you know things change kids. My wife and I last year got to go to a friends wedding without any of the kids. Got to spend the night in Houston. But even then we were both worried about the kids miss behaving for her mama.

One of the reasons I love that gal. She's a good mama. Plus it helps she has bad eyesight.
