I don't know if a roo would dance for another roo would they... Isn't a dance like a way of gaining respect from alpha girls??

I would think it could also be posturing To show who is boss and biggest/fittest a prelude to a fight if one doesn't back down. Avoids uncessary injury
That makes sense. My roo only dances for the alpha girls in the flock and he rarely mates them.

She never did say exactly and I think she would rather drop it and move on to happier things. Like good friends and hatching babies
