Oh, Granny, I was so hoping to pop in and find a better update than that -- so sorry!  I am glad that your GS is getting some learning out of it, though, he is such a terrific kid (if he ever goes missing he isn't at my house, lol, seriously, I'd take him in a heartbeat!). 

NICE - I'm a sucker for any decor with a chicken theme!


Yeah, me too - -  I only go if there is simply NO other choice for what I need that day and I am witchy the whole time I'm there (I swear, I can feel my blood pressure rising just pulling into the parking lot) -- for groceries I can get 99.9% of what I need for less $$ by shopping wisely at Kroger - but there are a few food items Kroger doesn't have and then the issue of needing any sort of socks/underwear/household stuff that means going to WalMart as they are pretty much the only other store in town (TSC needs to start carrying underwear, lol)

Ah, rock hunting - not everyone appreciates it, but I grew up with rockhound family members so it was a frequent "family fun time"  for us.  Sorry you are hurting, though. 

I really enjoyed it. I just wish I didn't hurt this bad. I probably won't be able to get outta bed tomorrow but at least I had fun today. I have to lay down to dig lol. And Ofcouse? I didn't move a lot of dirt but I did find some crystals just below the surface.

yes and it about killed me Lol. Even though I just opened the car door and didn't have to walk ten feet. I honestly feel like I've been in a bad car wreck right now. And I can't get up. Pearl will have to help me to the bathroom. But it was worth it. I use to really be able to dig.

LONG weekend - Jethro went for a trial with a family that wanted him, he's coming back tomorrow morning as it was a no-go........they only had him for a few hours before they decided it wasn't right, guess they weren't as excited/commited as they said they were.  Anyway, back to the drawing board on that.  Sold my little coop - met a fabulous local lady who has recently become a chiken addict so in addition to the coop I think she is looking at buying several birds.  Also sold 3 of my adult flock and have a solid lead on selling the rest of the flock as a lot.  chicks should be here sometime in the next three days - then turn around and sell them off too.
DD got the job at the boarding stable she was interviewing for so we'll be moving Aero up there in the next couple of weeks and also taking the kids a load of household stuff for their new house at the farm.  Also, in a strok of luck, the barn owner is looking for barn cats so they are very interested in having our barn cats move up there if need be.
Also - got an e-mail this evening from the folks out in Oregon we have been talking with about the job -- my heart sunk when I saw the preview as the first line read like the typical beginning of the "thanks but no thanks" you give people when you haven't chosen them (know that all too well from hiring/firing at work, I HATE that part) so I couldn't even bring myself to read it (this was in the midst of communicating with the family about Jethro and I was about to have an emtional breakdown as it was) so I made DH read it ---- turns out it wasn't hte kiss-off, they have rquested our references and information to do a background check - if that goes well we'll be flying out towards the end of the week for an in-person final interview/meeting.  I had convinced myself our skype interview hadn't gone as well as we thought and we were out of the running and become somewhat depressed by today so this was a surprise -- now just keep waiting for something to happen to make it all fall apart (having a bit of an eyore day).
Really just seems EVERYTHING is in a state of "hurry up and wait" right now................UGH

Isn't there a Grease on Broadway? I wonder if they adapted it from that... Some of the "new" songs threw me off a bit.

morning all, I think I am awake anyway. so much sleeping ! DH sounds stuffy this am. Hope he isnt getting this mess I have GS is off to school so another quiet week ahead He had fun this weekend . dissecting eggs is right up his ally. LOL
