So are you going to try to wash the gunk off the 2nd chick today??     How about a damp/wetish cotton ball???  bigger then a q-tip

Granny, when I had a sticky chick in one of my hatches. I used a soft youth sized toothbrush to gently comb out some of the crunchies from its fuzz. It help some, was able to get the pieces of shell unstuck from it. It eventually grew feathers & fixed itself.
