Twist, Life in PA continues to be exciting, much like my life in SC, never a dull moment, one crisis right after another. Megan and I have had some kind of cold/sinus/headache/ear infection crap going on. So far the Grandson is still healthy. One of the dogs keeps peeing in the floor and we cant figure out which one it is......... We are slowly but surely getting the house furnished by frequenting all of the many thrift stores in the area......
I bought a car, found out it was a stolen vehicle when I tried to get it registered...... that was exciting... Got all of my money back....... The idiots had sold the car with payments and the buyer didn't make the payments so the reported the car as being stolen. Then when they got the car back, they never let the cops know..I just didn't want anything else to do with the deal, it is embarassing when cops show up at the DMV because they think I stole the car......... So, we are still sharing a vehicle, which is not all that inconvenient since I work early morning and Megan works evenings.......
It is snowing now, about 3 inches out there maybe. But, it is supposed to be cold the rest of the week. Megan has friends coming in to visit this weekend. We are going to have to entertain on a shoestring in very cold weather. I suggested board games, delivered pizza and a few movies. Megan thinks we should go bowling..........
Mike has not gotten in gear and gotten up here yet. But, if nothing else, he is really missing his dogs. So, it won't be long.........
I just got my Chicken Catalog from Myers, are you still thinking about getting Buckeyes? Myers says they lay a medium egg and only rate them at 3-4 eggs a week. They also say SLW only lay medium eggs.
I have been dreaming about chicken orders...... So, I have decided when I can have chickens again, I am going to hatch sex links. Here is my proposed list of chicks. Rhode Island Red roosters to breed to Barred Rock hens for Black Sex links, and White Rock hens to make Red Sex Links. I will be looking for Barred Holland rooster to breed to Easter Eggers to raise Barred Easter Egger hens that I can breed back to an Araucana rooster to get sexlinked chicks.
Did I mention I miss my chickens??
