I'm not sure.  There were 2 set on that same day and both of them were swimming around!  We didn't check all of them that night.  My hubs just wanted to see the difference between growing and not fertile. 

I've gotta see that in my own hands one day. That's so fascinating.

it does and after a week or so of seeing how fast they grow it will be much easier for you to figure  I have 3 brooders. I start them all in one and as they grow they end up being in all 3 of them.

Oh I plan to one day.

That would be a good size for 15 chicks.  Maybe a refrigerator box.  You will need a lid.  Soon as their wing feathers grow, they can fly out!
