Rut Ro, have you added sponges or a wet tube sock?
sock works better, last longer.

dusk here now and I've yet to check the boxes again but I'm pretty sure there's a broody in there on about a half dozen, I'm gonna shove a few more under her if she sticks it out. Got plenty of spare pens, maybe get one ready for her.I have 3 eggs under a broody that are on day 15. They looked great yesterday. Had one that DIS between day 7 & day 14. Had to finally put a gate up in front the nest boxes because I had 2 full on broodies & 3 that were playing musical nest box & screwing up the hatching eggs. I would come out in the morning & one broody had taken over the others eggs & left hers to sit & get cold or I would find 2 in one box. Kicked 3 to the curb, working on breaking their broodiness & letting 2 set in different locations.
I've got a plastic thing cut out lengthwise with a sopping wet tag diaper, and four jars of water. Having trouble getting 60%.
Yes they are driving me nuts, I need to down size 3 silkies, 1 hens is enough. I have a broody Mottled Bantam Cochin in a dog crate in the Silkie coop too. Right now its her & the one Silkie that are sitting on eggs. The other 3 messed up all their eggs, so they are done for now.I have 3 eggs under a broody that are on day 15. bantams do that. some of the LF do too but you find more of the LF being protective of their nest. I walk too close to Flo today and thought I was a gonner I wonder if she will throw them in the water ? If I will have to take them ? Hope not.
