Seeing the ones Tippy and York have make it awfully tempting, but I am going to stay strong! 3 little cockerels out in the garage right now to find homes for.

Not my favorite thing to do. Especially since the Serama roosters are so friendly. Very tame and easy to handle.

my seramas stay together. they dont fight . they are in the same coop as the polish . they did fine this winter. One roo got picked on by a LF roo but thats it.

I think if I had the most expensive incubator on the market I would still manage to muck it up.  GS wants to set polish in the am.

It's not just the incubator when it comes to hatching, there are so many other things too. Egg quality, parent bird health even what those parent birds are fed. Genetics, medication that may have have gotten in the egg, the list goes on and on.........
Get those eggs set and see what happens :highfive:

You know you want to wishing......

Good luck with those boys they sound great but I know how hard it is to rehome.

Granny. I would keep them all if I could teach them not to crow. I thought being smaller would mean they were a bit quieter. Not mine. Tiny little feather dusters can raise the dead.

I have ( I think) a pretty nice bator. It needs some bells and whistles (auto stuff) to make it better but it is me alone killing them chicks. I have one chick right now walking stiff legged . I have no idea what to do with that. eggs were good til lock down. air cell was good too.

I have one with the squeaker gene . Wonder if his babies will have it too ?

I did not know there was a squeaker gene! But I have heard one at a show. That's why I thought they would all be quieter. duh.. If I get a squeaker, it will be a keeper!
