Quote: Yep. He's papabrooder on here, and papas poultry on fb. I'll go over there and tag you.

I got my 2 orps and a marans from him. He's about 5 hours north of me. I think the Tolbunts are new-ish for him.

Quote: That's the same, but opposite, of my parents. They were married just before dad went into officer training, and cadets were not allowed to be married. Mom moved to Pensacola with him, but she lived separately off base. He'd visit on the weekends, but never told anyone. After he graduated, they got married on paper for the military.

I hope you all still love me now that you know my dark political secrets...

No one is ever going to agree 100% on everything. Doesn't make anybody bad, and you shouldn't feel like you have to keep secrets.

Watermelon needs to see this one! It's right up her ally.

Hahahaaaa! So true!

Linda, were the Speckled Sussex you got for your sister from a breeder or more hatchery quality? My feed store is going to get some in and it is so tempting.

Hmm. I have 9 in that coop. Wouldn't want to have more than 12 in there on the rare days they can't go out. I should wait another year. We are getting plenty of eggs now. This feed store is independent. Been in the same spot for over 50 years. They are getting some different breeds this year- large Cochins, SpecSussex, blue, columbian, and blue laced red Wyandottes, Barnevelders, Chanteclers, Russian Orloff, and Cubalaya are all new this year. If only I had more room!!!
