brooders are cleaned out once again. chick is active and pecking the bottom of its cup and trying to find a way out already.
speaking of mellon there is a contest here from Sally drawing a rooster . we could submit spazz for her or ???

Hmm. I have 9 in that coop. Wouldn't want to have more than 12 in there on the rare days they can't go out. I should wait another year. We are getting plenty of eggs now. This feed store is independent. Been in the same spot for over 50 years. They are getting some different breeds this year- large Cochins, SpecSussex, blue, columbian, and blue laced red Wyandottes, Barnevelders, Chanteclers, Russian Orloff, and Cubalaya are all new this year. If only I had more room!!!

I dont know if I would need to be even deeper in the woods then I am now but I kinda would like to have a long crower . AKA: laughing rooster.
