I dont know if I would need to be even deeper in the woods then I am now but I kinda would like to have a long crower . AKA: laughing rooster.

It's sooooooo tempting!  Since I have limited space, I am trying to stagger bringing in new ones so I always have a couple of layers under 3.  Getting 4-6 eggs per day from my 9 layers, and four of them are over 4 years old now.  Plenty of eggs for us and family right now.  Arrrghh!  It's so tempting! 

Lol that it what I'm trying too... Trying to hold out for what I really want so I don't over crowd. 9 birds... 7 eggs a day.

I was going to do langshans before I got the honas. I love blue chickens.

I love the shape of Langshans. Feed store is only getting in black ones.


Hubs likes the columbian pattern, so I could get a col Wyandotte and a cuckoo maran. Those will be in at the same time. I want another dark layer, since my Welsummer is getting old.
