At what age do you butcher the crosses?? Granny.

this will be a first for me. suposed to be from 8-12 weeks I think. Not much liking it . I wanted to try once anyway though. I have 2 now about a week apart and I am staying away from them. LOL

It does seem so young. I get it. I want to build up the courage to do some... But I can't even bring myself to butcher Jerry who is a jerk face.

I dont know how I feel about raising chickens that are just intended to die. I sure eat my share of them. Still just dont seem right some how. I dont have a problem butchering when needed but It takes me a long time and hard on my back so something I really shouldnt be doing just because its hard on my body. A "designer" chicken bred just to die is a bit more then I understand . All they had were cornish and pan fry specials.
