We live on 50 acres & are surrounded on 2 sides by timber land owned by individuals. 2 neighbors on other sides own large acreage also & our house is on far corner of our land from them. Anyway i like being far out in the boonies but 2 miles from town.

Sounds just about perfect. My dad's about 3 miles from town.

You HAVE to show yak pictures! There is a section that asks about any other pets. You need to show your big shaggy pets, and the dogs too.

Another rainy day, but now the wind has come up. Hoping we don't lose power!

At the farm my nearest neighbor is about 2 miles east, west, and south. no body to the north. BUT its 30 miles from town you forget something or have a breakdown and BAM there goes 2 hours. I am learning so when I need to buy a part I get 2

I posted this to a gossip group about 30 min. ago. Its going crazy .

I had a good experience at Wal-Mart. I know, you dont hear that one often . I am disabled and was in great pain trying to get my shopping finished. I was not able to. I was standing in line to pay for what I had and a woman with shoulder length salt and pepper hair seen my distress and came and got me, opened a line and checked me out. She also went back through the store to pick up what I was missing and offered help to my car.

OH I had someone email me a couple days ago interested in my yaks. Said he saw me listed in IYAK . I am supposed to email him in the fall should I have any calves for sale.

So now I have buyer's for pups and calves and I AINT GOT NO pups or calves

WOW someone who actually gave a damnn unreal and refreshing at the same time. You should email wal-mart and praise her to them.

Twist, I wont sell Lil twist and Abby. I sold the ones that just hatched . 7 of them. The half egg did hatch and it is a beautiful chick with all colors fuzz. I bought it a meat chicken yesterday for company.

People like to hear good stories! I have never understood the hatred for Walmart. It's just a huge store with cheap products and narrow aisles with shelved towering over you as you try to get around families with 12 kids running around like puppies! Not great for claustrophobics! Prices are great, though. I recently ordered a little point and shoot camera from them online. Got an excellent deal!

Mornings !   wow, If I had some dirt like that i would go play in it too !  Is it store bought and what is the one single plant in your garden ?  the pot is pretty allisium is my favorite for smell and hardiness and mexican heather ?  I think I seen my tree in bloom this am trying to remember the name of it. something cherry but is actually a dogwood with very tiny yellow blooms. but they cluster.

I'm going to go back and finish reading up just wanted to reply

The one single plant is I'm pretty sure a potato I forgot to get last year lol. Oops. It's volunteered up so I added some more taters there and called it a day

The shrubbery thingy in the planters is actually tea tree. Found those pretties at Home Depot for cheap so I thought why not.

They'll actually grow to be a fair size but hopefully not before I'm moved somewhere I can plant things for real lol.

I've also got to stop by the hardware store to see if they have my little dwarf sunflowers. The girls loved em last year. Also put in a couple rows of corn and some onions from leftover seeds from last year.
