she has very small freezer on top of fridge. this was an older humongous one . like 4x2x3ftdeep ? somewhere in there .

I try to be a polite and considerate smoker but then I expect the same consideration when you are in my house or car. LOL One of sherry's aunts is a non smoker and was busy making snide comments here at my house one day. I looked at her and said my life and my house so MY choice it was nice to see you. She shut right up and spent the rest of the night looking like she was sucking on lemons

And has been over here since.

she can brown all the hamburger and then put it in fridge or refreeze it and it should be fine to use.   Roast's cook and freeze for sandwiches hot or cold.   Steaks are a little trickier. 

Steaks can age in the fridge.

but if it is all cooked asap she /you could salvage a lot of it if it was still cold/cool you could always can it as well.
