Well Bert pointed out that 22's travel very far if you don't hit your target and I do live in a neighborhood. I'd hate to go to prison for hitting something 200 yards down the road. I had kind of settled on a small caliber shotgun, but an air pistol would probably do the job! Any suggestions?

a 410 is smaller and lighter then a 20 gal a lot of small children start with one of those OR did in my day.

You can probably get a pump or a double barrel one. The slug is in shotgun shell form.
