Granny, try getting a bowl of steaming hot water and have him hang his head over it and breathe.
Actually the mint leaves in the hot water may help too.
Good idea.

how about fixing him a small "steam tent" just a large towel over steaming water with his head inside might make the breathing part easier. I don't think that putting mint in the water would hurt BUT you should double check.
Another good idea.

Poor little guy. Can put him in a hot steamy bath or shower. If he can take ibuprofin (advil), it acts as a muscle relaxer and can calm a cough. Delsym is good for coughs, and they have kid's version. Not sure if it's okay with his condition.

Hot water with honey and lemon will help too, if he can sip on it.

Guess I could get one of Roberts socks and wrap around his neck. It would be a cure or kill .. Mustard ???

Morning :frow

Hope GS is feeling better soon granny :hugs That's just pants that you can't take him anywhere and I won't even put here what I would like to say about DD and her attitude. It's a good job those kids have you!
I had to pick Charlie up from school at lunchtime time he's sick too. Stuffy, headache and a temperature. Must be sick cos he's not gaming or chatting to anyone on the PS4.

Got the nasty incubator out today. Checked that it still heated up and than goodness it did! Cleaned it up so it should be good for the eggs to go into next Wednesday. Hate the thing :somad

I just remember my grandmother's talking about mustard plasters for the chest when people we sick. I have never experienced one.

wishing thought about hot tea or just hot water with honey and lemon GREAT IDEA the honey helps to coat the throat from the "tickles" of a cough.
