I almost lost a chick again. Didn't put the gate up on their cage and went in to finish the dogs' dinner. She must have fallen off the wood frame, and of course it was a silkied one, so she couldn't get back up. At least the dogs didn't eat her. I had to move a bunch of stuff an practically crawl under a car to reach her. Made a discovery though. My garage is filthy!

Belle is half Newfoundland, supposed to be a water dog, but she won't get near it except to drink. Every single time I clean and fill a water dish, she is right there to slobber in it! Even comes up to help me water the garden so she can get slurps from the hose. Any fresh water, she's got to have her tongue in it!

I'm good! How about you?
I'm good just worried.
Is he still air? he should run hot in a still air??? 102 is not bad, I run 100.5-100.8 they are fine unless he doesnt have a fan then he needs to run differently
Incubators with fans and without fans need to run at DIFFERENT TEMPS! post #9068
it is still air. No fan.
Red, yours is a still air incubator ~ 102° is the normal incubating temp for them. Sounds like your humidity is staying in a good range. Tomorrow when you candle you will be able to tell if you need to increase or decrease the amount of water your adding. I think your doing great! :highfive:

How old is she ?

I just weighed one of my serama chicks .40oz. thats tiny. They are getting poop stuck to their butts . Im not likeing the food I am giving them. Never have that problem with home chicks. just store bought. Think tomorrow I will switch them to flock raiser. The stuff I bought today looks to be all powder. what a waste !
