yup, its Purina flock raiser . 18% protein. I am going to put mine on it tomorrow as I think they do better with it then the chick starter.   I buy it from TSC.  just get the crumbles (dust this time)

I was feeding a gallon a day when my flock was bigger. Not sure for you, since your birds are small. If I was going to wet powdered feed I would use a hog pan, but I keep a few on hand for wading in the summer. Fermented feed is wet feed, so I would think as long as it's not moldy then it's ok. If you feed a gallon or two, it won't sit long enough to get moldy.

Dont know what a hog pan is but dont matter. I will do that then because I sure cant afford to let it just blow away.

Or casserole pan, like those throw away kind. Sometimes I use old enamel pans. Cookie sheet, whatever. I use the hog pans for scrap veggies, watermelon rinds, wading pools, etc. Very handy, and sturdier than crawfish trays.
