They are really real. Really. They are. That type is bred in Malaysia. When Jerry and others brought the original group of Seramas to the US, they were not sold the best birds by Malay standards (as the legend goes) so Malaysian culls are what started the American version. There are a few people trying to breed the freaky ones here, but that is not the American standard at all, and they would be very hard to find. I think we lucked out, don't you?
