I'm home and I'm all caught up! 12 hours on the nose.

Not sure, and not sure. There haven't been any weddings here as far back as we can remember. Not sure why?

DH said "next time we do this..." so maybe? I guess we'll see how today goes.

Thanks, that was so sweet! Everything was fine. I had helpers, all the food was finished on time, tons of leftovers. Easy peasy.

Hahahahahaha, maybe he is her kid... I dunnnno......... ohhhh but he is in a different part of the country.. thats right. I forgot.. The box went a loooong ways.

Yep, he's down here with me. He asked for eggs in the LA thread and I was going to bring him some, but his mama said no. I didn't tell him, but if it had worked to meet I was going to try to get some nice eggs from my breeder. Maybe next time.

Sounds like you had everything under control. You multi task very well Camping.

I actually had a lot of fun! I do well under pressure when I'm in charge. When someone else is in charge I tend to panic because I need VERY CLEAR instructions and expectations. A couple of times I got a little worked up because so much of it was "hurry up and wait." We couldn't makes the chicken salad on croissants early because they'd get soggy. We couldn't set out anything that would get cold, or warm, or stale. But we had it juggled perfectly and the food went out when the bridal party left.

Good thing, too, because the ceremony was only about 25 minutes!! Then they were all back. I got to settle the bride, which was an honor for me. She was crying in the back by the utility sink because the wedding was getting started and she was just a bundle of nerves. I fanned her and told her everything was perfect and gorgeous, then I tried to feed her. Because that's what I do.

I sent them with four big "to go" boxes for their drive tonight. They're honeymooning in Arkansas. I loved it!

Thanks! It was VERY simple. Bridal party provided all the trays and platters; I probably would've been a little more extravagant. But we just kept refilling trays, and it was fine.

Cookies from scratch! The assistant made them. I burned everything I touched today, so I stuck to pinwheels, chicken salad, arranging platters, and writing labels.

And bossing everyone else around.

I wish I'd gotten pictures of the ceremony. It was outdoors and the weather was just perfect. The bride crossed over our little bridge to reach the groom. It was so sweet and country.
