If you know somebody that has horses or cows and has some moldy bales that'll work you don't need good straw

It hasn't happened YET, but DH is ready to buy a bred nanny goat. She's dropped two sets of twins and has never had problems. She a dwarf nigerian, which is the breed he wanted, and she was bred to a pygmy. She'll kid sometime in May.

You know us, go big or go home. No agonizing over decisions here!

Mother of the bride raises goats and she's switching from nigerian dwarfs to pygmies. I was willing to just wait for the babies. But DH is ready to go. He told me to go pick it up today.

Weather is so good today! Sun is strong enough to knock the mosquitoes down, but it's not hot. I let all but the youngest brooder babies out for a bit. Looks like I've got a pullet in the bigger honas. :bun
