Those are beautiful! So much nicer than the hatchery model. Love that color. Are they calm? Quiet?
Average, I would say. They're not as calm as my hand-raised brooder babies (EEs and sussex mixes) but they were grown hens when I got them. The roo is very calm and eats from my hand and ALMOST lets me pet him. ;) they don't stand out as being anymore or any less flighty or noisy than anyone else. They do seem a little more aware of their surroundings than others. The roo is fairly quiet, for a roo, but he was second-in-command so he may get a little louder now that his brother is gone.

The EE that colored in female that I was hoping would stay a pullet. :hit Those blonde feathers are pretty, though.

Oh no. You too? Seems to be contagious around here. Must be all the spring-is-here activities. Hard to do anything that spares the back. I'm really regretting washing my hair
