Since we're eating for wishing, forgot to say earlier that one of my broodies has jumped the nest. Mae West was still clucking broody noises, but from the perch. She didn't have eggs. Guess we'll see if she goes back or not.

I had decided that whoever stuck to their empty nest til the 16th would get eggs. Two broodies is still plenty. And they are DETERMINED. The HRIR regularly has 5-6 eggs under her, I have no idea how. I mean, I'm sure she's just picking the nest where the most eggs are laid. It's still impressive.
