Should I risk putting a couple of chicks with my broody and her two chicks?? I would really like her to mother them all.

It is so cute,,she had them go up to the coop with her tonight. How they got over the divider in front of the nest box I don't know. They are all one week old. I have 13 in the house under lights. I would love to take a few out there tonight and see if she will accept them.

I'm replacing a 1999 Tahoe that I have been driving for 17 years! I will miss it in some ways but it is time to turn the page!

Are they the same color chicks? Some hens seem to be color sensitive. The other thing I've noticed is the some chicks don't know how to act under a hen, especially when they are older. Lots of people add them though, with good results. My chickens are probably weird. If you try it, I think you might want to be there when the broody gets up to make sure she treats them right. Hens can't count, right?
