My new chick is fat ! very heavy for a polish. I am in pain, I dont know what to do. Maybe GI dr. will call tomorrow

I ate a can of soup. I am just now drinking some Sunny D . I hope its not too harsh .

Does the new Polish have a good crest? And the other 2 you got a few days back, do those have vaulted skulls?

I didnt feel their heads for bone ? They have a big poof up there. This one does too. The first polish I hatched are bound to be serama mix. I dont really know. I should get some updated pictures on them.

I got the poli vi sol today. Need to read later on dosing. Konner is out of school tuesday. Roberts worker called and left a message of car trouble. So he was alone today. That was the main reason I waited to go. Robert wont answer the phone . He knew he had called but now why he wasnt here.

Speaking of pictures, I finally decided to get a small camera... out of stock.

I will have to look around for one. I would have liked to have has one in my pocket earlier today.


The 4 Serama cockerels started crowing before 6am this morning in the garage! Who needs an alarm clock?! Since my rooster died, I'd been considering keep 2 of the 4 to replace him. Not any more! They are loud! I will keep the smallest little silkied boy, Bueno, since he has the softest crow.

This morning, I took Bueno over by the free ranging hens to see how they'd react. One of the older hens was very interested in him. She kind of sidled over to him and dropped a wing!! Little hussy. And here I was thinking she was going to pulverize him! He did his best tippy toe crowing, scratched all around and offered up treats, which created much interest, but no takers. He's still significantly smaller (about 10 wks now) and still peeps so not really threatening, and it seems they will accept him just fine. We sat out under the oak tree for about half an hour before crazy broody Stumpy came screaming out of the coop, ran over to where the hens and Bueno were hanging out, and promptly went after him!! He dodged away from her, strategic retreat, but held his ground, the good boy. I was tempted to leave him out there with the girls, but when I walked around to the other side of the tree to check the water, he came running after me! So after a brief consultation, we decided he should go back into the brooder pen. He was well received since he brought the other chicks some kale leaves. Good thing I'm not attached to this little guy.

Bummer I didn't have a camera with me. My phone sucks and my good camera is so big it's hard to do anything else when I have it with me.

Now I have to sell the other 3 boys, and maybe one of the pullets. It's so hard. I'm sure I will find my backbone at 6am tomorrow morning!

Neither of my guys will answer the phone, but they go and listen to see who is leaving a mssg on the machine and then they will pick up. Mostly because it's me threatening them with the wrath of mom if they don't answer.

Thats funny. A broody is 10 ft. tall dontcha know. LOL Will they back order the camera for you ? If seramas are hard to come by there I would try to keep 2 . I kept all mine together.

She's a psycho broody!

The roosters are just too noisy with neighbors so close. In the summer everyone has windows open, no ac here, and when they start in at 5am, it makes everyone a little grumpy.

Me? 6 was an hour ago and the basketball game started. Our team is tryng to get to the finals. It's very closed right now. Just tied it up!
