O lord! You are starting to make me think I picked the wrong animal to bring home!!!!   just picking.

I can't wait to be the crazy chicken lady!

I've already been looking into getting an incubator for next year.
See I'm a little smart.....I'm waiting till next year! LOL

My husband is going to kill me, I see it coming.
You could always build a bator.......or two.

Make one. Way better and not so hard in my experience.

Wait 'til you check the status of the temp & humidity in an incubator every half hour, or hover over one for days on end, or put a brooder right next to your bed. You think you're stressed now ?

I haven't slept much since I got the littles.
I am constantly checking on them, I wake up 10 times a night to make sure they are ok.
Tonight is going to be a hot mess.
I am turning OFF their lights!
O gosh. I'm in for a long night.
They might freeze???
I do live in Houston, hot Texas!

Mine were off heat by 3 weeks in 38° temp... Yours will be fine!! :hugs

They had an option to go under a heating pad, but chose not too. The middle of a chook pile is suprisingly warm!
