OH...I thought all the GOLDEN feather people here knew what they were talking about when it comes to chickens.
I love the laughs but I'd like to learn a lil something while I'm here....I think! lol

Golden feather aint' something earned by knowledge, I'm a newbie too! I won mine in one of the contests.

my worst mistake was my first winter with chickens. Had a temp pen that you had to hunch over to get into. Hand a board that slid in a slot to lock. Went in, board fell down in slot & locked me in. It was freezing outside, granddaughter lucky came looking for me a half hour later because we had a party to go to & I hadn't made it in to clean up. Could have broken out eventually, but it was a good lesson learned

I have done that.... I ended up crawling out, indian style, under the run fence!

It had a really bad drip for a while now. Konner went over there and about the time Lisa says that coming out really bad and I went over there I really dont know what happened but it took the popcorn off my ceiling ! If they hadnt of been here it would still be spewing. I stuck my hand over it . I guess I thought I was gonna stop it with my hand. and her Husband was down on his knees trying to shut the water off The water was getting really hot so I start smacking her DH on the head hollering Move and he wont move . LOL I had to let go and Lisa just grabs a glass and put it over it. Hahahaa, No I would not of thought to use a cup either.
