Okee doke! I get a call earlier today. I was completely confused about when she would be back. I figured she would be here when she got here. I thought she would at least be here when the poults arrived.
5:20 I get a call that she will be here as soon as she is fed. It was after seven (bedtime). She hadn't had a nap (no surprised) hasn't pooped in days (gee, this is a familiar problem when I don't have her) HAD NOT BEEN FED!!!! She won't stop crying, and she has an allergy cold.
Her father leaves, and I realize that she stinks of cat urine (neighbors/her grandmother and 2 aunts) is sticky and her hair look like it hasn't been washed in a week. Honestly, it is possible that she hasn't been bathed in a week.
She can't stop crying even with M&M's in her hand (she was doing great potty training, but stopped two or so months ago. It was supposed to be a reward!). Let alone a blueberry muffin. Dancing wasn't working. She actually thought it was fun to sit on the counter while I tried to clean her up for the night. After a few minutes I gave up. She was filthy, and HAD to be bathed. Tears and all. So, down the hall we went. And the wailing began. She cried through her bath (I had to wash her face repeatedly to remove caked on snot between bath and bed) and I brought her to her room. With a sippy cup. Another thing I don't normally do. The kid was miserable. Rules go out the window! Siting naked in my spinning chair didn't make her happy, and getting to be carried naked didn't make her happy. This was bad!

She's had another growth spurt, and her night clothes weren't fitting. A shirt and diaper had to do. Powdering her umm... Yeah. Powder. made her stop crying for a second. Then it was straight to bed. When she is this tired, she WANTS to go right to bed without stories!
Count to ten, and she is asleep.

For those of you that remember my knee hurts, bath time was interesting. I got into more positions...
Poor child...no excuse for that at all

I think my favorite was the Sunday she was picked up for a church picnic. Her diaper was fresh at 8:00 that morning. At six-thirty that night she was bad! No nap, very little to eat. Sunburned, NO DIAPER CHANGE. She had fallen repeatedly, and had pebbles embedded in her elbow.
