They had big trucks when I was a kid that would fog the neighborhoods with DDT! We ran behind them and covered ourselves with the fog!

They still do that in some areas here, just not with DDT and you are supposed to be inside, but it's supposed to be harmless for people. Conflict of truth there?

Scary, huh? More people have died worldwide of mosquito borne diseases since they banned DDT, but much better for the bald eagle population that they did. It made the egg shells so thin no chicks could develop to hatch.
