  Scary, huh?  More people have died worldwide of mosquito borne diseases since they banned DDT, but much better for the bald eagle population that they did.  It made the egg shells so thin no chicks could develop to hatch.  

Gotta control population growth somehow.

They still do that in some areas here, just not with DDT and you are supposed to be inside, but it's supposed to be harmless for people. Conflict of truth there?
I'm sure there is a bit of truth bending! We survived, but kinda scary to think about now!

They come find me! They are breeding like crazy in this wet! Mosquito heaven

Yes, I did that once in college. We were trying to run from it and got trapped in an alley! It was a good story.

The parish sends a truck out regularly and as needed when we call. Not sure what they use, but it's pretty effective. Has to be over 65* and no wind or rain.

That's right, forgot about the no wind rule. Must be the same stuff. No worries about the rain here, of course.

Muscovy ducks are supposed to be mosquito eating machines. If everybody got some, it would help I bet. We should start a muscovy campaign.
