Benny, I don't mean to be rude. I want to understand. Can you explain Shabbat to me?

Yes of course I as a teacher don't think that exchange of information is roundness!
The Shabat or Saturday is the 7 day that the all mighty rested after he finished creating the universe, according to ouer traditions.
So according to ouer low it is a day of rest that we should not do any work. We pray, have obligatory tree meals, and have fun with familly and freinds.
The very religious Jewish people, dont light fire, don't drive, don't use electronics ect ect, there are solution to that but it is very difficult for me.
So I practice some of it.
The main thing in Shabat is the big family diner in Friday night that we lite cadels and bless the wine and the bred! And we do the best fish meat dishes that we can afford, we considered this day like Queen vidit. a very nice and wonderful.
It strength the family bonds.

Thank you! It sounds like a wonderful tradition! I think more people should strive for something similar!  Do you have many single older people with no kids in Israel? How would I try to incorporate something like Shabat into my life?

I am a big believer of familly in my opinion family is the second most important asset that one have after its health so if you ask me you should try to make some eragments and prepare a nice supper at least once a week , you should invite family and if you cant, invite some good freinds. This meal should taken seriously, nice clothing no phone alowd and wile you spend this nice time with family or good freinds or both you will feel your emotional battery being recharged for the all week . And abaout your question there are old people here, but we have a very strong tradition to take care for ouer family members and for each other so I can't say that all but the majority of of old people can find a place , of some kind, in society.

Thank you so much, Benny! I have no family to speak of and no close friends locally, but I will set up my own tradition and make myself a nice dinner once a week and try and honor that tradition! Thank you again!
