Mules, on the other hand, are a cross between a female horse and a male donkey or “jack” (hence the word “jackass”). In contrast, a male horse and a female donkey bred together produces a “hinny”; the name coming from the fact that a female donkey is called a “jenny”, bred with a h-orse.Aug 15, 2012

And it's my understanding that they cannot produce offspring. Am I right?

I am / was; two sisters, the brother & I...from Dad's estate. With that falling-down house on it, the R.E. people figure it's only worth about $4k. Best thing that could happen to that place is a 5 gal can of gas & a match

the days of buying land for $1000. an acre are long gone and it has septic or city on it already makes it worth more. RE dont know what they are talking about or trying to get it for free.

Some people near us were tearing down an older house (circa 1965) to build a new fancy schmancy house. They donated/arranged with our volunteer fire dept to burn the house so the fire fighters could have a good practice. I think a lot of other crews came as well. They would set part of it on fire and put it out, let it burn, put it out. I think they spent 2 full days on it before it was burned to the ground.
