You'd have to see this place to appreciate what I'm saying. The one time I was there, in '06, there was so much junk & just plain trash laying around that it was literally hard to see the ground. Papa's probably driven within 50' of the gate & not known it. It got to the point that the Alexander Co. taxes were all on me; none of the other three have a pot to pee in, let alone a window to throw it out of. Well, it's not quite that bad, but not far from it.

bet it would go for $20k min. check out prices around there for land .

Your dad sounds a lot like mine. All bluff and bluster, but a softie at heart. I'm glad he got caught loving on Oly. Now you can relax about being there a little, because he has been found out. I know it must be stressing you out because you don't want to inconvenience your folks too much. It's hard, but won't be forever and will make some good memories for everyone.

Most of the homes built in the 60-70s around here are ranch style homes with very little charm (and microscopic bathrooms). The replacement house was actually done very nicely, kind of a low modern style that fit with the land rather than jutting out like a cold sore. People with money come into this county and build mini-mansions that look so out of place, it's sad. They are also multi storied, which I wouldn't want to be living in when a big quake hits. House I grew up in was built around 1912. All redwood and thick lath and plaster walls. It's still standing too! Little crooked, but still upright.

Thought I was still talking to Whites. No need to burn your house down Wishing. LOL
Oh good. This house is far from perfect, but we need a place to live!

No Wishing, been a bad day for me. stomach pain back. DD gave me an idea though. I ate corn yesterday and she mentioned how my dad and sister had to wear a bag because of the diverticulitis . I had forgot I have been diagnosed with that as well so Maybe ?? I have been eating tomatoes too.

Yeah, sounds like you need to stick to soft foods for awhile. Ever get any more test results back?

Corn is bad for your digestion. One of the first gmos ever created. It's a larger allergic food than most people realized cause everyone is caught up on glutton. I am also allergic to tomato plants or eating too many of them. I get hives. Such a bummer cause they are two of my favorite foods.

Around here the homes are cheaply made on zero land. The old ramblers come with at least a 1/3 acres of land but usually need up grading. I just want an old farm house. Lol but I will settle for an old rambler.
