They have therapy horses for people who are disabled. You climb a few stairs and sit right on the horse. Then someone holds the horse and leads it around. The movement is really good for kids with motor development problems and things like CP.

It was and I wont ever mount another. I am not strong enough.  they had to help me off.   wore a half cast for a couple weeks . dont really remember.   The only horse I will ever ride again is at K-Mart . LOL

:gig

I worked at a riding for disabled centre after I left school. Very rewarding job it was :D

Was I too late? Only one minute after you! I should say when I'm stepping out for a min, but I do it all the time. Problem is when I get unexpectedly sidetracked, like when my hulking teenager comes out and aska if I need any help. How can I pass that up? so what was supposed to take 2 minutes ends up being half an hour.

Now I really do have to go. Need to get watering done and then heading out with sis to finish putting up curtain rods. See you later!

Most of them are very true!!

That last one of the horse chomping the kid's shirt and throwing her down was frightening. When my sis was about 5, she was hanging over a stall window to say hi to one of the mares. Trinket picked her up by the waist of her jeans and started swinging her around in the window. It was very lucky she was not hurt. Scared is good though, because she never did it again. As the older sister by 5 years, I was horrified. I should have been paying better attention, but I never thought a horse would do something like that. It was kind of like a dog shaking a toy around. Not good!

Not your fault anyway. You are spelling it correctly for many countries. You have to do it that way. It's just like you can't help driving on the wrong side of the road!

Yep can't take things like that for granted. They can so easily pick things up. Scary for your sister and you too. Scared is good, keeps people are n their toes. I tried to drum that into Charlie when he was younger. He was 2 when I got Harry and I have always trusted Harry with him but Charlie thought all horse were like that. Always told him he had to ask to stroke other horses or ponies.

When I said they made me laugh I should have pointed out not the biting and throwing one.
