Best way to any critters heart seems to be through the stomach.
So sparkles has figured out how to escape the raptor paddock - but she only seems inclined to do so when people are outside. Cheeky chicken.
Hubs...oh hubs. Is going the right way for a smacked bottom. We bought (and sold...yay profit) a work van recently. The original plan was stash profit for down the road house down payment. (Well, part of. It wasn't that much profit!)
So then he comes up to me the other day, and says he'd like to use some of it to get someone to do the roll cage in his rock crawler truck. Okay, fine, that project has been sitting for years....if that's what floats your boat fine.
Now last night he was saying how much ooh profit use for down payment on a new mustang.
Nope. Full stop. He is not allowed a new car. Especially not a new "performance" car. I politely remind him that he's hard on his vehicles and warranty doesn't cover everything, he refutes that oh he's had a new truck before he's dealt with warranty.
Oh you mean that truck you bought and busted the transmission on that they wouldn't fix and you thought it was covered by lemon law but nope you've had garnishments against you for YEARS that only got paid off a year and a bit ago cause I went out and figured out how much was left?
Yep. Buying new cars works well for you.
Ps. He wouldn't want me driving it, and he has a work truck for work. So it would be an evening and weekends kind of car.
Meanwhile I'm driving the 98 wagon with more gremlins than we know what to do with. Ugh.
I think part of what this is....is that 1. His racevo has been out of commission for a while. He broke it. And killed the clutch not even a year of occasional driving later... And 2. His offroadvo has been with a "friend" for a month and a half now cause said friend's wife blew the transmission on their excursion. So hubs allowed them to borrow offroadvo so he can still get to work. (And he's decided to do a 4x4 conversion on it now too. TO WHAT POINT ITS YOUR DAILY DRIVER BABY MAMA HAULER I ASK!) so he doesn't have a vehicle that's "his" (cause the wagoon is "the wife's car")
He's also going to run into issues when it comes to smogging the racevo cause California. That was his argument. Well, you chose to go that route...
I honestly don't get his fascination with the new mustangs right now. Sure yay fun but impractical (for us....between dog and chicken supplies hauling etc) and why would we pay how freaking much for something that would be an occasional use fun car? Bah. (And licensing fees. And higher insurance. And how often we'd be replacing tires...)
Failure to plan on friends part is in no way an emergency on your part!!! Sounds like his friend needs to purchase a daily driver while he works on HIS broken vehicle lol and purchasing an impractical vehicle your preaching to the choir lol
