Hubs is home!! He enjoyed Japan. Said everything was very neat and tidy, all in it's place, polite people, very quiet. He also said if it weren't for having to be in that part of the world for work, he probably wouldn't ever have gone. So much of the US we both want to see. And you don't need a passport!

Good deal on the shopping, granny. I was going to suggest a kid's cookbook. It's good his only toy was taken away, now he will be bored and can fill his time cooking for you. Hope there's a brownie or fudge recipe somewhere in there! Does your little town have a library? Take him to pick out books. My #2 like the Percy Jackson series when he was about CB's age.

So sad hearing about the little girl that got killed. It is more sobering when things like that happen in your own community. Increases the chances that "it could have been me."

I imagined she was inside and the tree hit the house. Not so good if she was outside wandering in a storm.

All the trees are still stressed here from lack of rain for so many years. I've told the kids, when it's windy, don't do walking under trees. Big limb snapped off a redwood tree right in front of me at #2's school while I was talking with another parent. Freaked us both out! Big enough to do some serious damage.

I have/had? a cousin from step-fathers side that got hit from a tree limb when she was 16. paralized her waist down. She had 2 littles.

I mucked up in the round a bout today in town. I knew it would only be a matter of time. I got some real nice looks from other driver. I said sorry. I think he understood.
