Hi Tippy, how are you ? I was wondering how many cats you feed ? Seems like you could get some help with those spays or neuters. I was reading about this place that collects male ferels and they neuter them, give the shots and then turns them back loose where they picked them up and if I am not mistaken its in WA. somewhere.
It's called TNR.Trap, Neuter and Return. The idea is that if you just kill the feral cats you leave territory open and more ferals will take up the now available space. If you spay and neuter and return them you will control the breeding and allow them to live out their lives. No more fighting Toms and no pregnant females. I feed my 5 tame cats, a feral female that is spayed that I brought with me when I moved, and a few others that rotate in and out of my yard.

I figured you may know about that. Dont you think its a good idea ? There is something wrong with 2 of my barn cats maybe all 3. I think they may have tape worms. Can I only get meds. for that through a vet ? I also wondered if the ivermectin I buy for the chickens might work ? I think it treats tape worm.

Can you touch them enough to give them meds? I think TNR is a wonderful plan! I spay and neuter any cat I can trap!

There seem to be several meds you can get without a prescription.
