I heard on the radio today the Lajames baron or something like that will NOT be doing the summer Olympics and that the entire Russian track and field team has been banned from participating (doping)

It will take a couple of years to actually get out and get things sorted but today is a start.
Anyone can come here, murderers, rapists etc and with no background checks. All you need is a passport.

Well now, the metric system is actually soooo much easier for calculations, base 10, it would really be better. It's just getting used to the units. I know about how long a mile is, but a km is a mystery. And just exactly how hot is it at 32°C ? 2 liters I got down, you know, soda bottles, but kilograms??

We didn't take on the euro, we have always had pound sterling. Yes anyone from Europe can come here willy nilly and do want they like. Unlimited immigration from other European countries.

I am really surprised at the outcome. Even Mr. Cameron was saying to stay. EU is good for countries not doing well, at the expense of those countries that made difficult choices and suffered austerity measures. I'm an American. so of course I would have wanted to stay independent! You think they are gong to do some political trickery to try to reverse the vote?

I'm not sure but it would not be good if they used trickery to reverse the vote. Not listening to the country and what they have voted for is not a democracy but it would not surprise if they tried something, especially as this win for the leave has shocked them.
