Quote: I don't like pie crust either. Blackberries are good in a crumble or a cobbler. But since you don't want the seeds, your best bet is to make blackberry syrup. Mmmmmm, my favorite. Just cook them down and mash them real good to release the juice, maybe with a tiny bit of water to get it started. Strain the juice to get out the solid bits, return the juice to the pot, cook it down a bit adding sugar to taste. You have to keep stirring so it doesn't burn. I like mine a little tart and it is delicious on vanilla ice cream or pancakes. I was always happy when mom's jelly didn't gel and we got syrup instead. yummy!!! Excellent on french toast and waffles too.

Already 88 degrees.

Got the seats in offroadvo conditioned at least. Still must attack with the vacuum and do a better job detailing (it was just a "get the worst off" job last night)

Have to laugh. Hubs is playing grand theft auto. Tells me "oh I think sparkles is out front" well, okay, the dog is also outside somewhere but sparkles does enjoy moving around the irrigation lines....so okay. Of course, there she is digging in the front garden. At this point I'm barefoot, so my options are walking across stones of ouchie to put her back by the backside of the house...or walk through the house. So I tuck her under my arm and walk through the house, with her chattering the whole way. Hubs just starts laughing and explaining to his friend over the PlayStation that "my wife just walked through the house with a chicken. This is normal"

Yep. In our house this is normal lol
I have been bringing my little serama pullet in to watch tv for half an hour every night. It gives her a rest from the constant attention of the 4 cockerels. The other pullet is mean as sin and beats up all the boys, so PJ takes the brunt of it. She gets to go in the garage cage for 15 mins by herself to eat and drink, then when the others are put in for the night, she comes and reads byc with me. It's normal!

I just found a baby hummingbird on the sidewalk at church. Mother is flying around. Baby can't fly. What should I do with it?
So what did you end up doing?? The bird rescue people say you can touch the babies. It is a rare mama bird that won't take them back. Hummers are so tiny. Hope it was okay.

The little Towhee fledgling in my backyard seems to have made it just fine.
