I did. Got all but ignored by the mom, (as I expected), and the dad was saddened my hubs didn't make it (he was working on a fire truck at the airport). When it came present time, the dad was scandalized I got play dough. "Is that non toxic?"

I guess his wife thinking I'm an idiot cause I haven't popped out a child has transferred over a bit. Yes I'm going to poison your child. Come on now.

When I left he expressed he felt bad that the car was returned in the shape it was and offered to wax it. Yeah dude after the half donkey job you did washing it in the first place, no. (It is bloody shiny now...beautiful offroadvo!). I also asked him when the seat belt went, he said the day after he got it back from us. (Funny thing is, to another friend he said it must have spontaneously busted after he dropped it off at our house...)

I got told by the other friend "well at least next time he'll be more careful". I laughed and told her no way in hades would there be a next time.

Ohhhhhhh my gersh!!!!!!! I'm glad he apologized but really?????? Lesson learned.

Yeah. I'm pretty much done with them. The wife has been super cold to me since another friend's wedding (four years ago now...). Only thing I can think of is oh dear I made the comment of saying to her (now hubs then bf) that they looked good all dressed up. Let it be known the guys are all mechanic types they don't dress up all that often and he was ill at ease with it.

I guess I also didn't endear myself to her when the girls were doing their pregnancy pact and I said no that's not a good idea for us right now
