Bit late getting here today Had a right old afternoon. Was doing the horses and I do my friends on a Monday as she works late. Well, her horse decided to somehow get its leg in the electric fence and set of with it wrapped around her leg Has gone straight through so I had to get the vet to come out.

Can't stitch it up as its on the hock joint so as soon as she moves they would pop out. Made a right mess of it so she had to be sedated to have it all cleaned out and dressed. Feel so sorry for my friend as it just seems to be one thing after another for her. Horse has to stay in too untill it heals so that it does not open up anymore. Going to be a few weeks I reckon

Have your friend use honey on that wound. It keeps the bacteria from growing and helps the skin regenerate. I had a horse get tangled up in barbed wire when I was a kid and we used honey. She healed up so nice you could barely see the scaring.

Camping, how is Roxie's hindquarters tonight?

Her teats are pinkish and farther out? So I guess that's something. I need to take a pic when she has a full belly. I always take pics before/during breakfast.

One of Bonnie's chicks drowned in the goats' water bucket. She's down to two now. I added a shallow pan so hopefully that doesn't happen again. :/

Three chicks and two pips in the bator. Day 20.

I've been reading articles about goats going into labor. Cause I'm intrigued!! Lol one of them said that her utters will get pink and shiny. So that sounds good!!!
