He popped on shortly after you left but he just said he caught a bad mood and left... Nothing else.

Sure did. After two full weeks of breast feeding for hours at a time and still supplementing formula, bubba had only gained one ounce. Doc left and came back with 6 cans of formula. I even went to see the lactation consultant, no dice. I just never had enough milk. So I did what I could for a month, hoping they'd at least get some colostrum, then switched to full formula. Happened to each kid.

Oh, that's too bad. ( you notice how I refrained from saying that sucks?

) We all have expectations of how it should be. I'm just grateful for modern medicine, because neither of my boys nor I would have survived childbirth. Water broke more than 3 weeks early each time, so had to be induced. Relatively small intervention, but 100 yrs ago, we probably wouldn't have made it. Everything else seemed small beans to me in light of the fact that they arrived alive and healthy.

ps, I had to go to formula at about 4 mos with #1. Dr said he was hungry! He still nursed, but was a greedy lil piggy!

I was thinking the same about modern meds. My GM lost a baby to the 2 year ?? I am forgetting what it was called. Nothing but diarrhea. Dr told her to not feed him.
