I can't wait til next year. I hope to have some BlackBerries myself.I do have 2 quart ziplock baggies full of big sweet blackberries.
I bought 2 plants a few years ago and planted them where the dogs go. Wasnt thinking so I dug them up. They fell into a few more plants and came back where I dug them. I have about 8 plants from those 2. They are the thornless everbearing . very sweet.I can't wait til next year. I hope to have some BlackBerries myself.
I got the thornless too. I hope mine make it. They haven't done any growing that I see. Just looks like a couple of switches sticking out of the ground. When do you fertilize em?I bought 2 plants a few years ago and planted them where the dogs go. Wasnt thinking so I dug them up. They fell into a few more plants and came back where I dug them. In that case I won't get any lol. We use to have them growing wild in the woods when I was a kid. I'd make myself sick eating them lol. Maybe they'll do something. How hard are they to kill. Mine may be dead already. Or maybe they'll grow better next spring.I dont. I havent even weed whipped around them. I know the berries grow on last years growth .
Hope I live long enough to see mine loaded lol.Mine are probably about 6 years old too. this is the first year they have been just loaded with berries.
