hmm, maybe I can do a daytime , night time thing ? wet the ground good then put them back up before bed.
That will work. Wet the ground real good, maybe even the night before, and they will dig down into the coolness.

4 eggs go to lockdown Tuesday. Pulled two clears from the 17 that are day 10 tomorrow.



Do you keep records ? Like, would you know how many hatched this season ?   I still havent advertised these and I am getting the itch.


I kept a spreadsheet for the honas, but that got old quick. :/ I guess I could go back and look at the old posts and count up. ;)

Yup, seems like "granny hatchet" is a Kentucky thing. Very few references about it that I could find relating to a lizard, but all seems to point to Appalachia and KY. It's an Eastern Fence Lizard.
