You too, Tippy!

Have you ever seen those cat doors that work with electronic collars the cats wear? Door will allow then through, but not unwanted visitors. Think you can set the door to only open one way too, so when they come in at night, they stay in until you let them out. Might save you a lot of time not having to play doorman when you get your own place and can put in a cat door.

Bunny, we would all love to help you if you decide to build a bator!!

Thanks I can't use something that uses a ton of electricity though so that makes a bator difficult. :(

People here make bators out of light bulbs! I forgot who it was....CRS...

It is not just that I can't use a lot of electricity it isn't always reliable either. :(

Way? If you have 2 you have a backup and I Change the bulbs EVERY hatch! After 21 days they are risky!

The electricity not the bulbs. I wouldn't want to have the power stop working.

It is the same risk in any power function incubator!

You can always try! Broodies get off the nest and the heat goes down. How long does your power go off for?

It depends on the weather, not more then a couple hours at most usually around 15 to 30 minutes.

I wouldn't worry about that. If the power goes out wrap the bator in towels or something to keep the heat in. Just keep them handy. We have all faced power outages. At least you will be prepared.

Keep in the bator glass jars full with water that will moderate the temp fluctuations!
