hahaa, Grew up with an outhouse. It was a very disgusting idea to put a toilet in the house .

Can't say I have ever used an outhouse!!! But back in my family history there are a bunch with the last name outhouse!!!! Wonder what they did to get that!! Lol

As is I'm dying for another bathroom and it's just hubs and I (why? Cause he treats the throne like his fortress of solitude when it's time for number two.)

GM had well water, was red and smelled of rotten eggs. She loved the taste of it and I refused to drink it. At least it came in the house/chicken coop. When Mom and I moved we had a shared well and it was all toted in by me. heat it on the coal stove for dishes /bath in a galvanized bucket. I didnt mind it . never thought twice about it.
